
The cup is 20cm in height and weights 229g, it depict the life story of an ibex, from birth, nursing from its mother, eating leaves from a tree, being attacked by a wild boar, and finally being eaten by vultures.
We can also see how old the ibex is based on the rings on its horn. It was 2 years old in the second row from bottom and 11 when it died.

I wonder if there’s some symbolism in the middle scene with the ibex eating from the tree because it looks similar to the famous statue Ram in a Thicket found in Ur.
