    1. The only reason I’m still on Facebook is to be in some local groups and keep in touch with friends. If either of those reasons no longer applied id leave without a second thought

Oh, they’re fully aware. Just like they’re aware of their complicity in some ethnic cleansing incidents. But, you see, if they fixed these things they might make _slightly less money_ so I hope you can see the problem there.

I left Facebook 7-8 years ago. I’d been on it since 2004, back when you had to have a college email. Never looked back and I’ve been so much happier since.

I quit FB over the covid fact checker shitshow of 2020 and I feel great now

ngl I got a rude awakening when I realized the 3k “friends” I had and knew 1k of them irl only talked to me when I was on the app bc it was easier than actually reaching out but I got over that.

The time I wasted on FB I put that energy into teaching myself 5 instruments, wrote 4 books so far and started 2 new businesses.

When I slowed down (or stopped in some cases) my social media usage, I stopped having to take SSRIs. I’m better at self regulating now

    8. Anecdotal evidence, but I’ve definitely been happier and better adjusted since deleting p2p social media.
