What was the fly doing with its hands instead of running TF away the first few seconds of this video?!?!

“The fly was very close to being called a ‘land’ cuz that’s what it does half the time.”

    3. Can’t believe how quick the spider is.. I thought flies were impossible to catch. Always giving me a hard time when they are around annoying me

    4. When I’m 1m close to the fly to slap it, it fly away instantly. But it can’t see a spider 5cm close. Kidding me?

those fat ass buzzy flies are SO fast and somehow predict every human movement, that’s crazy it didn’t even notice a spider right in front of it

Oh man this was great. You can see the moment the fly goes “oh shit is that a spider? Nah nah let me keep cleaning my hand. Sheesh Bill you’re always worrying about spiders you really need to re-aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh”

    7. The way flies are wired, they only really see fast movement. You can also move your hand very slowly until it is close and the fly won’t leave. This is why the spider crept up so slowly until it was close enough

    8. Title works on two levels; the spider is obviously very quick, as in fast, but also in the context of “the quick and the dead”, quick was an old term for alive. OP is obviously a man of letters and culture.

Fly squaring up like, do you want some? Spider was like, nah, I’m good, I’ll take the whole thing.

    10. What I found extra interesting is, as the spider landed it planted a thread (visible) on the window sill as an anchor, likely to help it get back up if it fell or the catch wasn’t successful
