Adolf Hitler’s written authorization of Aktion T4 on September 1, 1939. Aktion T4 was Nazi Germany’s campaign of mass murder via forced euthanasia against the physically and mentally disabled. Roughly 275,000 to 300,000 victims would be murdered as a result of this document [716 x 986].

      Aktion T4 had a trial run with [Gerhard Kretschmar](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerhard_Kretschmar), a five-month-old German baby with severe disabilities. His parents were ardent Nazis. In 1939, at the request of his father, who described his infant son as a “monster”, Gerhard was murdered at the direction of Karl Brandt. He was the first victim of Aktion T4, of which Brandt would be the administrator.
