That’s a wonderful feature. Regards of age, we’ve all been that sick. I’ve never seen that at any hospital. Great catch and thanks for sharing.

I was a patient of theirs when dealing with my own cancer, and everyone I had to deal with was an absolute gem of a human being. There is not a frown in the entire office.

Do you have to be at the center, or can you call from anywhere?

Btw the Arabic text in the bottom is formated incorrectly, the letters aren’t attached and the text is written from left to write, keep in mind that Arabic is written from right to left.Â
It’s something like this
“:n i d e t a c o l  e r a  u o y t a h t e v i t n e s e r p e R”
Instead of:
“… Representative that you are located in:”

A wonderful sentiment. Though I have to point out that as usual, left<-right scripts like Arabic tend to be copy and pasted to illegible effect.

We just have suicide prevention posters/hotline number posted on inside of our employee bathroom door. It’s a sign of good worker morale!

And tell the reception desk you are experiencing a Code Brown.

This would have been really nice for me 3 years ago when I shit myself at a work conference lol
All kidding aside, this is actually wonderful. Sometimes your stomach just cannot make it.

One possible reason is because chemotherapeutic agents are highly toxic and need to be properly cleaned up. This includes a patient’s blood, urine, etc. I was given PPE and spill cleanup stuff when I was undergoing chemo.

This is amazingly awesome and wonderful. Fuck cancer. I do also enjoy the needlessly overcomplicated location code!

Is that graffiti on the sign, or did a graphic designer legitimately put a red line through the word Cancer in their logo as if it’s being scratched out?

I’m being treated at a different facility and let me just say you learn to shuffle very quickly with your IV pole to the nearest bathroom.
Chemo ,monoclonal antibodies and the associated support meds are rough on the body.
MD Anderson is very highly rated for cancer treatment and patient care and I’m not surprised they have this type of signage.

Native Arabic speaker here – the Arabic is really very bad to the point of nearly illegible. It’s like almost reading a riddle to figure it out.
Would love if anyone knows how to get in contact with them. I’d be happy to provide them with a proper translation.

My son is a cancer survivor. If he threw up, it was considered hazardous waste because of chemo. We bought so many of the same stuffed animal because if he even SWEAT on it, we had to toss it.

My mom is going thru treatment for cancer right now. One of the side effects is diarrhea. So unfortunately accidents happen. Also her discharge has to be treated like a hazard. We are told to flush the toilet twice with the lid after pooping and anything that comes in contact with it needs to be sanitized or discarded. If someone has an accident at the facility and doesn’t have a spare wardrobe then they provide disposable pants and undergarments.

I’ve not needed this level of help yet but it’s nice to know that it’s available. 🩷
