Its pretty simple: One Punch Man is a manga that stands out for its amazing art style and over the top combat scenes; the plot? an excuse for the action.
If the assholes of Bandai would have given them enough money and time as they did in S1, this anime would be on the top spots: nowadays, two pretty simple (plot wise) animes are leading the boards because of their amazing art styles and battle scenes (Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaizen).
What a shame to loose an anime like this before getting to the GOOD meat.
