In one of the two versions of Orion's death, Apollo thinks that it is disgusting that a mortal is so close to his divine sister and so he tricks Artemis into killing Orion.

As for Psyche, she is taken to a tower where she is cared for by a mysterious man. She uses an oil lamp to peek at him and sees Cupid. Cupid then flies away believing that God and mortal cannot be equals in love. The story has a good ending however where she proves her love and then becomes a God.
