    1. This statue was on display at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, in a special exhibit called *Art and Life in Imperial Rome: Trajan and His Times*. The focus was on Trajan and his reign, but there was a variety of Roman art on display, such as frescos from Pompeii and a statue of Caligula. This statue of two greyhounds is from the Vatican Museums iirc.

      I have some others photos from this exhibition that I will probably post in this sub in the future.

    2. how wonderful and rare in its genre this feels…
      how many beauty and human virtousity and thinking and expression is burried undr the times… and now we are left with the most ignorant, most infantile, culture destroying filth at the top.
