    1. Crazy to think people in the 1880s were just casually hanging out with Lady Liberty’s head like it was a backyard project.

    2. Anyone else think that construction and engineering 19th and 20th century are way more impressive of feats than anything we have done so far in the 21st?

    3. There’s a terrible movie called ‘Leap!’ that takes place in 1880s Paris. They have a scene in the yard where the unassembled Statue of Liberty is sitting. Only, she’s green! Wat up wit dat? Fievel Mousekewitz arrived in New York and she was appropriately copper toned.
