Sailing through a storm like this has been on the top of my bucket list for years. If I ran a cruise line our whole hook would be sailing straight into storms. Operate in the Caribbean during hurricane season

That’s what I call a real adventure cruise

    2. Anytime I see anything about the Drake Pass I feel obligated to mentioned that Earnest Shackleton sailed across if in a 22 foot wooden canoe with three men keeping warm burning seal bladder and navigating by the stars

I would 100% be that guy chilling at the bow windows. That’s a once in a lifetime rollercoaster

    4. I reallllyyyy want to go to Antarctica, but this video is making me doubt if I ever will. I get sea sick also, so if Im not lucky to get Drake lake, Im screwed hahah

    5. I would have been right next to that guy taking it in front row. I love boats, love the ocean.

    6. Do people other than influencers and YouTubers even go on these Drake passage cruises ?

      I don’t understand the appeal

    7. I worked on offshore supply boats in the oil field when I was younger. Although the seas dont get like that in the gulf, I looked forward to horrible weather. There is an element of comedy involved with it because you are unable to even sit down. It would get to the point where everyone was doubled over laughing because your just getting thrown around like a rag doll.

    8. Seems like the top of a staircase isn’t the best spot to stand during this, or in front of a window being smashed into by water.

    9. I do not trust that TV screen/picture on the swivel. On an unstable platform like a ship i feel like that’s a broken nose waiting to happen at the very least.

    10. Guy standing in front at the window has mentally accepted death. If that glass shattered right there it wouldnt even ruin his day.

Looks like a lot of fun, i would however get sea sic and then be rolling around in my own vomit 🤢

      NOOOOOOOO

I’m not doing that. It’s cool but if that window breaks I’m screwed

    13. I get these things are safe ….. But I wouldnt have the balls to stand underneath a 5ft glass chandelier dutin these rough seas …..

    14. Been through it twice and only experienced the Drake Lake, not the Drake Shake.

We are going again in February…

    15. And I was the one who kept the life jacket on since the emergency drill they make you do. You think I’m gonna be relaxing after that shit?!

On my first night on a cruise ship, the pianist played My Heart Will Go On.
      Like it was a warning….

Nothing good happens in the sea!

I don’t vibe with the ocean. That’s a massive, unfathomably deep, predatory abyss. Top tier phobia

the Drake Passage is located at the intersection of the “roaring forties,” “furious fifties,” and “screaming sixties” latitudes, areas notorious for strong winds and rough seas. While the Roaring Forties are defined by the 40-50 degree south latitude line, the passage itself crosses a wide area of these zones, particularly extending into the more severe “screaming sixties” around 60 degrees south where Antarctica begins.
