Well it does make more sense to stand your ground than to run away – thats for sure

They’re genuinely not wrong in this case, Cheetah are not built to hunt animals that fight back

    3. Sure, it may leave me alive – “alive” is a huge spectrum. it might just chew off one of my limbs, and thanks to advanced medical care. I survive and it keeps eating.

They’re really not that strong. The poor bastards are also very inbred. After they catch an antelope or something they are often so worn out they can get driven off the kill by vultures. Their claws aren’t sharp because they need them to run and their babies are camouflaged as leopards because animals might think twice about attacking a Leopard, but they wouldn’t hesitated to go for a cheetah.

Like it’d still be dangerous, but it’s probably the only big cat you would have decent odds of actually beating in a fist fight.

    5. > never been a recorded case of …

… could also mean, that the cheetahs have 100% efficiency at killing all witnesses.

I’ll try “pspsps” if I’m ever in that situation

We need to stop interfering with people like this and let nature takes it course.

Also, don’t punish the animal when it behaves like an animal ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

      That’s a win/win

    8. I could whoop a cheetah’s ass, I’m very confident. I’ve watched enough nature documentaries to know that those guys injure very easily and don’t have the insta-kill bite or overall strength to beat a grown man. An adult male cheetah is only about 100lb on average. You get on top of one of em and it’s over.

    9. Humans aren’t natural prey and Cheetahs don’t like fighting for their food either so more often than not they’re gonna shy away from animals bigger than them. I remember that much from a book report I did on them when I was a kid 😅 they’re my favorite animal next to a peacock.
