Snatching defeat from the brink of victory, Senate Democrats cave on government shutdown. I felt hopeful on Tuesday. Couldn't even give us a full week.
Even Schumer was on board for holding their ground.
These were the ones who chickened out:
* Sen. Dick Durbin of Illinois
* Sen. Angus King of Maine
* Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto of Nevada
* Sen. Jacky Rosen of Nevada
* Sen. Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire
* Sen. Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire
* Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania
* Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia
They sold us out for a promised vote on healthcare in December.. one that will never pass the Republicans who already are on record voting for the healthcare cuts, so they wouldn’t care about voting against restoring them.

I will vote with my conscience- but this dependable failure of democrats is worse than trump IMO. They stand by and clutch pearls.
Waiting until after the elections to wimp out, as Malcom X pointed out, we were played as “chumps”.
They aren’t competent stewards, just by standing next to idiots they seem like the better choice, and that’s just not good enough.
