Mark Hamill portraying Mozart in the 1983 Broadway play Amadeus
He auditioned to reprise the role in Forman's film the following year but was rejected because "No one is believing that the Luke Skywalker is the Mozart."
Mark Hamill as Mozart in 1983? That’s peak Old School Cool. Jedi meets genius in powdered wig flair.

Hamill said that he listed in his playbill biography for this show all his theater credits and off handedly mentioned he was in a “popular science fiction film” a few years ago. Carrie Fisher called out his pretentious BS when she met him after a performance.

Hamill really got the short end of the stick post-Star Wars, didn’t he? Dude’s legit talented but everyone just sees him as Luke skywalker.
