No no, you don’t understand, if they built just one more insanely heavy, overly unreliable, methed out idea of a tank they could have won! Land battleships are the future!

Having a robust industrial and logistical network bordered by two ‘fuck you’ oceans is like a cheat code for winning a world war. Why didn’t the Axis get that? What are they, stupid?

I think the Axis could have “won” in the sense that they could have secured a lasting domination of Europe and East Asia had they not declared war on the US.
The Japanese assumed American entry was inevitable and that they might as well be the ones to initiate it alongside their attack on Commonwealth and other territories but I really don’t think the US’s isolationist sentiment would have suddenly dissipated because of the fall of the Dutch East Indies.
My understanding is Hitler never discussed his reasons for declaring war on the US (which he wasn’t obligated to do as Japan was the aggressor) but the only way it sort of makes sense is if he believed he could then start openly sink American weapons shipments to the UK and USSR without fear of retaliation as the US would be too busy fighting in the Pacific.

Wait till they find out 60-80% of their transportation and supply lines were powered by horses and not trucks.

This is something that people ofthen overlook, i am from argentina (argentinian posting on a nazi germany post, great), and our army is shit, no founding whatsoever and all of the problems an army can have, and every single time a politician or president has interest in “restoring” the army, they buy vehicles and planes and a few guns, but they ignore the main fucking problem: Guns need ammo to fire, vehicles need gas to run, and soldiers need clothes to not fucking freeze in winter. No one is interested on solving the fundamental problems with our army, they just want to make propaganda and expend tax payer money on shit that will be obsolete in 4 years and completely useless for the lack of maintenance in 10 years.
