This maybe an unpopular opinion but maybe this should be a sign for states to take over the snap program for their citizens and end government funding and just have states fund it themselves, of course it will have to be voted on and all that but this should be a sign that states should do it themselves instead of relying on the feds for it. So my mom is on SSDI and food stamps. I just went back on food stamps myself a month ago because of chronic pain issues.
I was talking to her about it, and despite the fact she’s aware she could be affected by all this crap….she STILL is fully on board with Trump. She blames the democrats for the shutdown, and she says “sometimes it takes a mess to clean one up” so she’s happy to temporarily suffer because she thinks it will punish people who are taking advantage of food stamps….
I have no hope of conservatives changing time on trump. Her food source being impacted isn’t enough for her to self reflect.
Another infuriating thing is she always trashes democrats very easily but when it comes to Trump and Epstein she suddenly is very understanding of character flaws….ugh….
