Our local grocery store has a gasoline rewards program and I usually wind up getting gas for like $.05 a gallon every few months. For reference I spend about $400-$500 a week on groceries.

I usually get 1 buck off a gallon from smiths. It’s cool until I realize it is just 10 bucks and maybe I need to buy a semi trucks work

Most of these places will limit to 20 gallons. Shame on this person for not filling up a plastic shopping bag with another 5 gallons (Florida style).

That’s nice but wouldn’t fly on west coast lol. Our gas here is almost $5 a gallon

Kroger related grocery stores have a rebate of up to $2/gal. Got gas for free during 2020 when gas was well below $2/gal.

My dad does this all the time at Giant Eagle (grocery perks) and Get Go (gas station). Their limit is 30 gallons so he brings a couple of 5 gallon gas cans and gets the full perk.

I paid about $0.34 per gallon recently. I think it was supposed to be $3.4?, but someone made a mistake when entering the price. My only regret is that I couldn’t take more than what my gas tank could hold.

My local gas station rewards program, you can get .50 off per gallon and stack up to 5 rewards so 2.5 off per gallon. Something similar going on here.

I did this before by filling up my work truck daily which was about 40-45 gallons. I used the rewards because the company didn’t. And I would basically wait until my car was on E, last time I filled my tank up for like 2 bucks.

BJ’s Wholesale Club frequently has such a deal if you buy a TV over a certain price. Or you can stack a bunch of 10 cent off offers.

I’ve learned , gen X here, if you use 867-5309 (Jenny) with your area code at pumps – it has legit savings, it’s like this unspoken cheat code – go get your savings- I saved 30 cents a gallon using it, I’m in California

So you sure this wasn’t just a huge error or glitch with the pump? I feel like this isn’t supposed to happen lol

Perhaps state inspectors had just tested the pump for accuracy?

American petrol prices are insane. We pay like £1.25, per litre minimum in the UK.

My local grocery chain had a reward system for discounts on gas. My family(brother, mom, stepdad, and I) would all use my mom’s rewards number and cash in the rewards every 2-3 months. They didn’t have a limit for the longest time so we’d all go to get gas together. Just keep the pump on and take turns pulling our cars up.
The most we got for the less was 62 gallons for 7. We did that for years til they partnered with a new gas chain and limited it 20 gallons and no less than $1 per gallon.

I wonder at what point does it round up? If you get 15.4 gallons, does it roundup to $0.16?

So basically they only paid for the tax.

We get 30 gallons for free regularly using grocery perks card. Wait until extra bonus points for buying gift cards and buy a bunch like Lowes that we know we’ll use over the year and use a credit card with cash back and payoff immediately for extra savings.

idk if it’s been deactivated already but if you go to kroger and use Mike Jones’ number, there’s usually gas points to use lol

Getting closer to 800% cheaper for gas, I guess.
