Former NOPD officer Antoinette Frank is escorted out of the restaurant where she and her boyfriend murdered three people during a robbery. The jury had toured it during her trial. Frank had returned to the scene in her patrol car, pretending to be first responder (Louisiana, 1995) [656 x 500].

In all likelihood, Antoinette Frank had returned to kill the survivors. However, other cops had arrived at the scene first, forcing her to play along. The results were predictable.
>Chau Vu, 23, said Frank saw her and asked what had happened. “You saw what happened – you killed my brother and sister,” Vu replied.
After Frank’s conviction, this was reported by the media:
>Since 1993, at least 38 officers have been arrested, including 10 in a federal drug sting in December. [One of the 10](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Len_Davis) has been accused by federal prosecutors of ordering the murder of a woman who filed a brutality complaint against him. [Another officer](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Storyville_Slayer), who remains on the force at a desk job, is a suspect in the homicides of 24 people since 1991, including his girlfriend and several prostitutes.
The NOPD made history in several bad ways in the mid-1990s:
* First woman sentenced to death in Louisiana in the modern era
* First NOPD officer to be convicted of murdering a fellow officer
* First police officer to be sentenced to death for federal civil rights violations
* First police department to get more than one officer sent to death row in one year
