We finally have Trump’s healthcare plan he spent 15+ years on: kick people off of the ACA and send them a bunch of money. Isn’t this the sort of thing they spent years blaming Inflation on?

So instead of subsidizing people’s health insurance, simply give people money to buy health insurance with 🤔

    2. I didn’t have “replace a slightly socialist policy with a communist one” on my Trump bingo card.

    3. So better yet…when I get sick just send the money directly to me so I can pay my medical costs. Cut out the middle man you morons!

In order to maintain the effective work of government agencies and comply with the provisions of the Constitution, it is proposed that President Donald Trump voluntarily relinquish his powers and resign.

    5. So,… who would we buy the insurance from after we get the check? Please send me that list of non insurance companies that sell insurance.

    6. Wait until the Insurance Company check clears in or Humana buys $30m in Trump coin….. then the gov will transfer the money directly to them

Isn’t this stimulus checks? The things they haywd because it was communism?

      Edit: hated

    8. And when people spend that money on food and not insurance they are still going to need Healthcare and will be going bankrupt and insurance rates will skyrocket because hospitals can’t refuse service and they will make it back up by raising costs…also insurance rates will raise because there are less paying onto the system.

It is literally the most Trump Healthcare plan imaginable. Bankruptcy.

Is this money in addition to the money we’re supposed to receive from the money made from tariffs?

What do they call it when the government distributes money directly to the people? I forget

    11. insurance companies can’t be trusted, and you can’t just go sending money to people all willy nilly, how about you send money directly to the hospitals to pay for their health coverage? cut out the middle man altogether, this way you get rid of the insurance plans and those wasteful poor people won’t be spending their money on things like avocado toast and lattes? that’ll show those devious liberals

    12. Brilliant idea. Let’s send money that will likely get spent elsewhere and further exacerbate the problem. Not sure if he noticed health insurance isn’t any cheaper outside of ACA.

    13. We can’t just give people that need food money. Cuz they might spend that money irresponsibly!!

Hey, let’s just give people money and let them buy whatever healthcare they want.

Narrator: “But nobody would ever be sent any money.”

Also, even if they were sent money, regular people don’t have the ability to negotiate prices the way the federal government does. This would make things even more expensive and would make healthcare much worse.

Republican plans to “give money to the people” are never ever EVER about making things cheaper or better for people. It is always about making it easier for corporations to sucker that money away from people.

The difference is that the ACA forces insurance companies to cover anyone, at a rate affordable to them. The ones in most need, pay the least. It literally takes money (more from the wealthy) and uses it to provide a service to those who can’t afford it.

Trump’s plan is to stop that program and instead provide a tax break (likely benefitting the wealthy more).

He is turning a progressive tax-paid social service into a regressive tax.

    16. Send people money, instead of the money sucking insurance companies.

That way the people can just pay the money sucking insurance companies themselves?

      🤷🏻‍♂️

    17. Send money to what people? If I have health insurance from my employer, do I get some? How about if I don’t have health insurance at all? This makes no sense

    18. Take it from the bad insurance companies and give it to the people to give it to the insurance companies

    19. Socialism!!! The shut down is working! HOLD FAST!!

Also, if they cancel the ACA, what’s to stop them from stiffing everyone later.

    20. Obamacare was so republican in nature, they’re going to accidentally reinvent socialism with a different name.

    21. So his plan is much like his philosophy on parenting. Give someone else money to figure it out.

    22. So the approximate amount of tax dollars used for the ACA is $125 Billion. There are about 44 Million US Citizens covered under the ACA. So that’s about $2840 dollars a year per person or $236 a month. The average individual premium plan in $456 a month.

Good luck with the insurance plan you can get for that.

    23. And it still doesn’t dress the underlying issue of health Care cost increasing just so profits can increase.

    24. Hey he said it was a concept of a plan, he didn’t say that it was well thought out or polished!

    25. Or, hear me out, we use the money to directly provide healthcare to the people. Much higher quality, much lower cost, and eliminate the money hungry insurance companies altogether. The government pays healthcare providers directly. No copay, no deductible. Hell, we could even call it Trumpcare.

    26. If you want him to not cancel it just rename it to Trumpcare and He will glow like a glowstick

    27. The ACA protected us from Insurance Companies calling everything “pre-existing conditions”. This asshole just wants to throw all of us in the ocean w/o life jackets to fend for ourselves.

I agree with POS. Let’s cut out the “money sucking insurance companies” and just do single payer. And we save the cost of printing checks and postage. We can call it Orange Aid. Or whatever. Just give everyone government paid heath care.
