Creating new jobs is nonsense. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it a million times: no one hates spending money like rich people. And paying people, as it turns out, costs money. Hell, the president himself is digging in his heels to avoid paying for food for the poor!

Amazon is increasing their use of robots in warehouses and lowering their dependence on actual human workers. But yeah, wait for it to trickle down XD
Taxing people and giving money to government doesn’t put more money in anyone’s pocketÂ

Trickle down is one of the most obvious scams to ever catch footing. Like, that shit started in the Reagan era which was way before these cognitively declining boomers lost the last vestiges of their good sense.

Anyone who still believes in trickle down economics is beyond help, instantly pisses me off. The only thing that trickles down is piss.

It’s been 45 years since Reagan was first elected, but the money hoarded by the rich will start trickling down ANY day now. We just got to listen to our 1%er corporate Overlords and be patient.

This is the biggest lie the rich tell.
Cutting taxes for the rich doesn’t make more jobs. The rich just horde the extra money.
Corporations just mostly use the cuts for stock buybacks not increasing wages f their employees.
If you actually wanted to stimulate the economy you would give tax cuts for the lowest ranks since they are more likely to spend the money immediately.

Taxes on the rich have never been as low as they are now, yet we’re in this situation. They claim they’ll create jobs on one hand, but are investing in AI to not have to hire people. There are companies who are openly bragging about how many people they’re firing. But yeah, give them even MORE concessions and they’ll finally deign to grant us more than crumbs.
The problem with trickle down economics is it’s all based on the off chance a rich person is feeling generous and that’s the biggest issue is they have no incentive to do that.

We need to focus on small and maybe medium sized business. Thats the answer IMO. No need for a large corporation to corner a market.

You know… this same lie is told in different ways across time. Resources are finite and the need to amass wealth well beyond the average person is greed-encrusted mental illness.
You’re told to toil and suffer in exchange for everlasting wealth in the hereafter, while those you’ve suffered under and toiled for enjoy their riches in the here and now. They’ve created people famous for nothing, monetized social clout, and fed the lie to everyone. “You can do it too!” But it’s a lottery, and a fixed one at that. Hustle culture selling a dream with properties they don’t own, cars that belong to others, and planes that are just staged sets.
Dreams of homeownership, what might be the most sensible and humble dream anyone could have, screwed over by corporations gobbling up properties and driving up costs of homes across the board.
Anyone with a 401k or other retirement vehicle is dragged into it as well. That’s the money they rely on to keep the circus going. Pump that money into the system, raise the age of retirement, slowly pull back on social security. We became entangled in decisions we made to improve our account balances while distancing ourselves from any accountability for what those decisions would cost us in the future. Forgetting that every dollar we sold our soul for was hundreds of thousands for them.
