Poor people don’t deserve food. It’s their own dam fault. If they were deserving, god would have made them wealthy upon birth. /s

    2. Republicans will say it’s the Dems fault for the shutdown but actively try NOT to pay for food for children.

    3. Hitler did not have a policy to intentionally starve all poor people in Germany. However, his regime’s policies and actions led to the intentional starvation of millions of people considered “racially inferior” or “unworthy,” including Jews, people with disabilities, Poles, and Soviet civilians, many of whom were poor or made poor by the policies.

    4. This is what the Iowa DHS website says:
Senate Democrats have voted 14 times against reopening the government. This compromises not only SNAP, but farm programs, food inspection, animal and plant disease protection, rural development, and protecting federal lands. Senate Democrats are withholding services to the American people in exchange for healthcare for illegals, gender mutilation, and other unknown “leverage” points.

    5. I remember my grandparents talking about the challenges of the Great Depression, and how frustrating that it was that the government failed at policies to improve things, but at no point did the party in power go to court to try to make poor people starve.

    6. >Because of the federal government shutdown, the Trump administration originally had said SNAP benefits would not be available in November. However, two judges ruled last week that the administration could not skip November’s benefits entirely because of the shutdown. One of those judges was U.S. District Judge John J. McConnell Jr., who ordered the full payments Thursday.

      >In both cases, the judges ordered the government to use one emergency reserve fund containing more than $4.6 billion to pay for SNAP for November but gave it leeway to tap other money to make the full payments, which cost between $8.5 billion and $9 billion each month.

      >On Monday, the administration said it would not use additional money, saying it was up to Congress to appropriate the funds for the program and that the other money was needed to shore up other child hunger programs.

      >Thursday’s federal court order rejected the Trump administration’s decision to cover only 65% of the maximum monthly benefit, a decision that could have left some recipients getting nothing for this month.

      >In its court filings Friday, Trump’s administration contended that the judge usurped both legislative and executive authority in ordering SNAP benefits to be fully funded.

      >“This unprecedented injunction makes a mockery of the separation of powers,” Sauer told the Supreme Court.

These fuckers have absolutely no shame at all. It’s outrageous to watch these people talk out of their asses about overreach, when we know and *they know* that they aggressively and routinely push beyond all reasonable limits of their administration. And for what, exactly? To take food off of people’s tables, for the sake of a ridiculous gambit to saddle Democrats with the blame of Conservative actions.

It’s hard enough being poor in this country. Health insurance companies already make billions, but they just *have* to fuck people over more by killing ACA because there is no such thing as “enough money” for these people.

Parasites, every single one of them.

All these headlines that read “Trump blocks SNAP funding”, and Maga still think it’s the left’s fault? Makes no sense.

    8. Something tells me the democrats will not budge. This is true game theory being played out.

Yet somehow it’s the Democrat’s fault. I don’t see the Democrats going to court to try and stop SNAP benefits from being paid to the most vulnerable families and children as Thanksgiving approaches. Instead of just following the court’s ruling, Trump is actively trying to get the Supreme Court to allow him *not* to help those millions of people. Trump is a monster, and this is the proof.

    10. I’m starting to think they burned the money they had for a rainy day fund on something stupid, like smothering the Epstein files

The holiday is due for an overhaul anyway.

Thankstaking, and you just get all you can with lies, the more boisterous, the better!

    12. Working so hard to prevent the ruling while at the same time trying to convince Americans it is the Dems fault. How anyone believes this shit is beyond me.

    13. I couldn’t imagine being this much of an asshole over feeding people. Special place in hell for these fine folks.
