The battle sequence was dope, If the American force was “marines” it really highlights their nickname “Devil Dogs” by running through the artillery fire without fear.

I like the one guy shooting like 15 soldiers and not one is thinking of firing back at him

Is it just the way the film/edit or are they heavily using AI? It looks so strange.

Honestly I love watching Chinese movies about the Korean War. They obviously have a level of plot armor but they generally show the Chinese also taking massive losses and try to portray Americans as competent

It’s Chinese over the top portrayal, but the Korea War is largely forgotten in US media. UN forces were winning against the North, pushing them back until the Chinese took part.
With K-Pop and Korean culture becoming popular, maybe it will be interesting to see more focus on the Korean War. Although perhaps Hollywood would not do it because they want to retain markets in China

It amuses me how the film depicts the infantry walking in front of the armour and not behind the tanks.
And they keep on walking straight into the artillery barrage without thinking it’s a bad idea? Come on.

lol the Chinese were hiding in the mountains, they relied on guerrilla warfare and mostly retreated and gave ground; only in some instances fighting to the bloody end from fortified hill bunkers.

Does the military use meters for communication like that? Fairly sure the fact checker didn’t see the Washington SNL skit.

Extremely strong feeling that the americans aren’t real, they look like AI or animated. The way their mouths move looks odd.

They want to represent the bad guys now… (North Korea) ok.

I didn’t found anything about this war scene particularly curious, but the context is interesting as hell. Considering that war resulted on North and South Korea I’m curious about what the rest of the film has to say.
What is the name of the film?

tbh the epic factor really plays into the propaganda nature of this all esp with the whole meaning of the film (tryna make china seem righteous in the korean war)

This is “exactly” how it happened
