Volunteered at a zoo where they had a room full of squirrel monkeys, they’re really energetic and love leaping great distances, while they’d probably love doing this in somebody’s house the owners probably wouldn’t. I have vivid memories of one leaping onto my face like an alien face hugger, they weren’t being mean, they were just having fun.
We had a lot of former exotic pets including Capuchins that were kept in somebody’s garage in Vegas, which doesn’t sound like a great setup. I have pictures of them eating breakfast bars somewhere. Doing some quick math the owner would have got them in the 80’s.
