a variation on the ironic meme "Stop Doing Math", but unironically invoked for the sentiment "Stop using dishwasher tablets/pod, use loose powder instead".
Three examples of dishwasher tablets and pods are shown. The caption reads:
    Stop using pods!
DISHWASHER POWDER WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO COME IN FIXED-SIZE TABLETS
YEARS OF WASHING yet NO REAL WORLD EVIDENCE that SAME POWDER in a pod is better at washing the dishes
Yes, please give me EXTRA PLASTIC and DYE that is going down the drain" – statements dreamed up by the utterly Deranged
LOOK at what the BIG POD has been selling you for extra profit for all this time, with their FAKE innovation
(These are REAL products, sold in REAL stores)
They have played us for absolute fools

    1. This seems like more of a cry for help than a meme… Although boxed detergent powder ftw

    2. You watch this one too? https://youtu.be/DAX2_mPr9W8

TLDR if you don’t need 40+ minutes of dishwashing rant… run the hot water on the sink the washer is in the same kind with to pre-warm the water in the pipes before the doshwahser starts.

Powder is great still if you do things right.

    3. I never really got the pod trend. There’s nothing wrong with regular detergent for both dishes and clothes. Pods are just harder to actually divide

Hate to say it but…. I was really excited about the new detergent. I would totally buy a higher end powder deterge but it’s more than $0.60 per load, which is not just a high end price, it’s between double and triple what the most expensive pods cost at costco, and 5x what the (EPA safer choice certified) costco pods cost per load. I know there are economies of scale and that profits go to charity, but that’s not really reasonable. I do hope this is a trend that continues, and other brands put out quality powders, but I am bummed that I cant justify switching.
