    1. > If you find that you are about to rape someone, blow that whistle until someone comes to stop you

      Very good advice

    2. This has to be fake or maybe they translated it wrong from somewhere else ? Just trying to make sense of this

    3. For those who don’t get it: it’s a commentary on the fact that all anti-rape advice seems to put the responsibility on the woman (the victim) to not get raped.

    4. I mean, I get it. Trying to blame the woman for being targeted by abhorrent acts of violence is wrong. None of it is her fault. Failing to listen to advice doesn’t make it her fault, it’s always the predators fault, 100%. It’s absolutely insane that women have lived lives with experiences where they have been blamed enough to be reacting like this, and my heart goes out to them.

That being said, it makes no sense to put this stuff on the walls. We don’t expect criminals to listen to reason. No predator is going to read this sign and be like “You know what, you’re right!”. We do expect you to encounter criminals along your path in life, and reasonable suggestions might help you deal with them. Instead of communicating what should be done in the event a young woman finds herself as the victim in a terrible crime, the feminists of this city elected to “Give it back to ’em”! by making a joke about primary rather than ancillary accountability.

It would be like putting a sign up in a high crime area that says “Robbers don’t rob people!” instead of communicating how to deal with a robbery situation if you so happen to find yourself as the victim in one. No reasonable person expects robbers to listen to that sign. We do expect you may listen to it, and it may help you out of the situation, that’s why we’re spending tax dollars to put the sign up as a social service.

Ancillary accountability isn’t an attempt to blame anyone. It’s a method in which you can protect yourself from the world and all of the people who deserve blame.

Whenever I see someone reply to rape defense tips with “TELL BOYS NOT TO RAPE” this is exactly what I imagine.

    6. I feel like raping someone bro, can we use the buddy system?
      Bro: Sure, no problem.
Just come with me to the room in the back real quick where there are no cameras or witnesses?
      Bro: 👀

      > If someone is drunk or asleep, don’t rape them

How bout not raping them when they’re awake too.

    8. “If you don’t want to get raped, don’t get raped. If you got raped, you didn’t want it hard enough.” – Your Government

I think this is one thing you saw and assumed it applied to the whole country.👀. If the government and health ministry did issue this, then this is some next level wtf moment.

    10. Wasn’t there an anti rape device that was just razor blades inside a plastic/silicon cone?

    11. Always ask your person if you can rep them. If they say NO you are good to go becouse consentual rep isnt rep.

    12. Most people in this thread are so dense.

Does it sound ridiculous? That’s the point. You know what else is ridiculous is that all “normal and correct” rape prevention tips are geared towards potential victims. Don’t dress in revealing clothing. Don’t walk alone at night. Don’t have fun clubbing.

This poster is commentary on that. Because do you know what IS normal and correct? Not raping anyone.
