Might seem weird but glands are pretty commonly used in Mexican food.

Some dishes like mollejas actually feature a cooked glandular meat.

    2. First time I’ve seen a mystery meat actually be truthful with it’s contents. Was honestly expecting more, like meat from ham hocks and/or from the skull and face.

Edit: Hey, don’t downvote if you find this disgusting. This is literally what is in a lot of processed meat. Why do you think Slim Jims are so cheap? It’s all the parts nobody wants, but saying what it is will turn most people off.

    3. At least they can specify which parts make it into the sausage, and don’t use a catch-all descriptor.

INGREDIENT: SALT, MUSTARD, “THE REST OF IT”

    4. I’m not surprised it’s in the sausage, I’m just surprised it’s listed in detail. I know people eat organs y’all 😭

    5. If this freaks you out, the same company makes a soy chorizo that tastes very similar, and contains no… glands

    6. Never get the tube Chorizo, it’s not the good stuff, get the stuff that comes flat that’s actually made from cuts of pork. I’m Hispanic, nobody on the Mexican side of the family would be caught dead buying the tube Chorizo.

    7. I guess im suprised its so specific. They could legaly just say “pork” and have it cover all the various lips and assholes.

If it’s one thing I know, never read the ingredients list of sausage. Just a bad idea
