Rabin’s death is just straight up sad. He was killed by people who wanted to continue violence for their own gain.

This is what alot of Israeli apologists fail to understand. Most of us who detest Israel do so because of the leader and the settler extremists. If they elected a leader which moved towards peace between Palestinians and Israelis then we’re good. Instead what you have now is a right wing settler extremist who wants to absorb both Gaza and the West Bank and ship the Palestinians to another land. This is evident even before oct 7, with his allegations of funding Hamas and the whole ‘we control the height of the flame thing’ and the continued expansion of illegal settlements in the West Bank. All he has done is empower other settler extremists in Israel and convice the rest of the world that they dont want peace but domination

      A) Im sure this comment section will be nice and civil

      B) Yeah, his death was a sad and low point. Hope was still out there for a peace agreement though, but Yasser Arafat knew his fate would be the same if he tried to make peace. Takes two to tango.
