Scientists have discovered a frog whose eyes grew inside its mouth due to an extremely rare genetic mutation. Instead of having its eyes on its head, they merged into the roof of its mouth, allowing it to see only when it opens its mouth.

Frogs also blink to help push down food into their esophagus when they swallow.
Another nightmare mf
They can still see as good as ever, or so I’ve been toad..
Watch ya mouth
I find it kind of amazing that this frog even lived long enough to get this big.
Are these eyes working?
If that frog has babies how likely is it the offspring will have the same mutation? Also, would suck if it tried to eat something with a thorn and went blind.
Don’t look with your mouth open. What mama taught me.
Looks like a low tier mob dark souls mob ambushing you in a poison swamp or sth

Thats must be difficult
As we all know, your eyes eat with you!
So… in the frog-world, this one is a permanent mouthbreather?
Solved issue with getting dry eyes
Obviously it’s eyes are its weak point, and you have to time your attacks correctly while fighting it.
Can’t you.. can’t you trip like I do
I hope nature put his ears on the outside of his head so he can hear some of the shit that comes out his mouth.
It’s just a new kind of eyelid
Aww poor little guy!? 😩
Imagine a human with the same deformation. I’ll wait…
Frogs are Nature’s lab rat for testing out new evolutions.

What I don’t want to be reincarnated as.

At least it can clearly see what it eats

So pretty much aim hack when using the tongue. Dude has no scope blackout when deciding to aim.
Amphibians are often the first indicators of environmental dangers since they absorb things through their membrane-like skin as well as through breathing and ingestion.
Source besides a pixelated pic that could’ve easily been edited?
