    1. 1. Adolf Hitler being born in Austria doesn’t mean the nation of Austria (which by that point had been annexed into Germany) started WWII.

      2. Treaty of Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Article 177:
“The Allied and Associated Governments affirm and Austria accepts the responsibility of Austria
and her Allies for causing the loss and damage to which the Allied and Associated Governments
and their nationals have been subjected as a consequence of the war imposed upon them by the
aggression of Austria-Hungary and her Allies.”

    2. Bethmann-Hollweg and Wilhelm gave Austria the blank check, but Russia mobilized against Austria and thus forced German mobilization, turning a regional conflict into a world war.

So really, it’s Russia’s fault for WWI

WW2 is of course Germany’s fault, but Hitler while Austrian by blood (barely though) attained German citizenship and ultimately held loyalty to Germany.

So the Austria caused WW2 thing is also wrong

    3. Austria either started or is directly responsible for every single war between major European powers since the Siege of Vienna. All of them, no exceptions.
