No seriously, Google all these passages. And the next time you encounter a "Christian" conservative, you will be ready.

      why would I look those verses up? No one is having debates with christians, we stay away from the mentally ill

    2. That’s the neat thing about the Bible: it’s so full of contradictions that you can find a verse to support *ANY* position! In other words, it’s worthless.

      Not like they’re reading those verses either. Even if they did, they’d find a way to spin it to argue in favor of themselves or how you’re wrong. Regardless of intent it would start an argument or a fight, so it really doesn’t matter if you come “armed” to your next debate or discussion about Christian topics.

      That book has instructions on apartheid, slavery, when to light a woman on fire as punishment, and so much more that we can go ahead and judge these abrahamic religions for what they are.

      Quoting the “good” parts only keeps the evil alive longer. Fuck every one of the abrahamic faiths and the evil they have unleashed on the world.

      Forget those; just ask them to read ***Exodus 21*** for you. ***Out loud.***

      Done ✔ You win

    6. Bible verses say to be kind to your neighbor, to not judge, to not be rich, to not wear two different types of fabrics, and for the ladies out there, to put women in the barn during their “dirty” time of the month.

      I actually like the first 3. The last 2 are ones that make no sense and goes to show how weird it is to take the Bible as a book of laws.

      For those of us who don’t know what these verses are …

      Proverbs 17:5
      New International Version
      5 Whoever mocks the poor shows contempt for their Maker;
      whoever gloats over disaster will not go unpunished.

      Isaiah 1:16-20
      New International Version
      16 Wash and make yourselves clean.
      Take your evil deeds out of my sight;
      stop doing wrong.
      17 Learn to do right; seek justice.
      Defend the oppressed.[a]
      Take up the cause of the fatherless;
      plead the case of the widow.
      18 “Come now, let us settle the matter,”
      says the Lord.
      “Though your sins are like scarlet,
      they shall be as white as snow;
      though they are red as crimson,
      they shall be like wool.
      19 If you are willing and obedient,
      you will eat the good things of the land;
      20 but if you resist and rebel,
      you will be devoured by the sword.”
      For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.

      Leviticus 19:33-34
      New International Version
      33 “‘When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. 34 The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God.

      Ezekiel 16:49-50
      New International Version
      49 “‘Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy. 50 They were haughty and did detestable things before me. Therefore I did away with them as you have seen.

      James 5:1-6
      New International Version
      Warning to Rich Oppressors
      5 Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming on you. 2 Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes. 3 Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days. 4 Look! The wages you failed to pay the workers who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty. 5 You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves in the day of slaughter.[a] 6 You have condemned and murdered the innocent one, who was not opposing you.

      Matthew 25:41-46
      New International Version
      41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’
      44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’
      45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’
      46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

      You can pick and choose all the good parts but you can pick and choose all the bad parts too.

      God told you how to select your slaves from the countries around you. God told you that genocide is a worthy fate for your enemies. God told to kill your disobedience children and homosexuals. God told you all sin is equally bad, worthy of infinite punishment, but you are forgiven no matter how horrific the crime simply by asking him for it (fuck your victims).

      This is a recipe for how to make a sociopath, not a good person who empathizes with ALL their fellow men…and women.

    9. If those people would read the bible they would be very upset.

      Whoever comes up with a non-woke version of the bible will make some great grift. Just gotta replace the entire thing.
