
Miss Britain III, a racing power boat designed and built in 1933, was the first boat to pass 100mph (161km/h) in salt water. Her hull was made of alclad aluminum sheet over an aluminum and wooden frame. She was powered by a single 1,350 hp (1,010 kW) Napier Lion VIID engine [1920×1280] [OC]

How low was the driver in the boat….they look like the could gotten whiplash at 100 mph in that thing..
