This is just another one of Trump and the GOP’s greedy moves. Y’all know Venezuela’s sitting on the largest oil reserves in the world and packed with key minerals. So, like they did in Iraq back in the day, the U.S. might start stirring things up to get control over their oil and mineral industries.

I think this is not even about oil.
This is about starting a war before the next elections.
They’ll keep escalating till Venezuela strikes back.

Apparently Trump wants to get a dominant stake in Venezuela’s oil industry for his family, at the expense of the U.S.
If we are “at war” there is a chance (however small) that the elections can be cancelled or delayed during wartime. If he’s able to keeps announcing emergency orders, it bolsters the “justification”.
Err dur. Trump is manufacturing a coup d’etat.
