Thanks for this tutorial so I can convert a king crab that big into a preserved specimen at some point in my future.

    2. Am I the only one thinking – if someone would bring all the meat out like that, all my seafood would be specimens from now on!

Save the cracking, peeling and effort!

    3. Humans are weird. Nothing on God’s green Earth would ever compel me to try consuming this creature.

    5. So to summarize:

      1) Cut off the closed ends

      2) Steampress the fuck out of the corpsel

      3) Glue the remains together

      4) Voila

I want this sort of burial for my Granma

    6. Crab should be served the way this one was. I want to eat, not play with wet, rock hard, spiky legs at the dinner table. I can’t even imagine how much crab meat we probably waste globally every year

    7. I don’t think I’d want to preserve the specimen if I found a big king crab like that, but thank you Reddit.

    8. Sure, but if this was preformed on a person and recorded it would be classified as “inhumane” or “illegal.”

    9. I know crabs aren’t arachnids, but they definitely trigger my arachnophobia with them creepy ass legs.
