Nazaré really said surf’s up and then summoned Poseidon’s mood swings. Those waves are basically nature’s flex.

What a ridiculously bad use of AI.

It’s not AI.
I live close by, and every winter it’s a show with this huge waves.
The reason for those waves are due to an underwater canyon, which I can’t properly explain, but it amplifies the waves.
The people above are at a top of a light house maybe around 60-70mts above sea level. Waves can reach a staggering 30m high.

This is good but I want to point out the photographer is using an optical illusion trick by shooting a telephoto lense of a closer platform of people against distant waves.
This makes the waves appear massive relative to the people and closer than they really are.
Imagine the centuries people have been sitting on that cliff edge and watching.

No this is not AI. I’m sad that we are at the point that people can’t appreciate this beauty of nature and assume AI. Yes the perspective is a bit weird but the wave is truly massive and this is a real video.

Was expecting some guy with a RedBull surf board to come out of nowhere
So are these the biggest waves in the world? I have a hunch I might find a dude I’m looking for there or on the North shore of Oahu. His name is Bodhi, and we have some unfinished business.

Nazaré’s waves were listed on the [*Guinness Book of Records*](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guinness_World_Records) for the biggest waves ever surfed and have also been featured multiple times on the [Billabong XXL](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billabong_XXL) awards in the categories of Biggest Wave and Ride of the Year.
Damn Ocean, you scary.
