    1. Everything I learn about carrier operations in WWII kinda freaks me out. They had so little of the tools that modern navies have, practically fighting with sticks and rocks

    2. Is this a coloration thing or did they used to paint ships a darker shade of grey back then? I’ve only seen current-day ships on tours and such, so my frame of reference is just that, but it seems like this is much darker paint.

    3. it’s crazy how badass those Hellcats were, tbh. Still O.P. af even by today’s standards
