    1. This will start to impact the rich who travel for business/pleasure. They may not care about people not getting SNAP benefits in November, but they will take notice of the shutdown once they can’t fly wherever they want

    2. Needs to happen. Between this and SNAP benefits stopping, people on the ground will actually start seeing consequences of the republican shutdown.

      Who would have thought pushing already stressed out government employees to the brink of not being able to pay their bills would be problematic?

    4. If the whole country went on strike for just a single work week, shit could change fast. But people in this country are like cattle, and they’d rather keep their heads down until it’s their turn for the sledgehammer.

      “So you have to do it for free now. And you have to come in or we’ll arrest you. Cool? Alright. See you tomorrow morning.”

    6. We booked a flight for Monday for my wife which is a day earlier than she actually needs to fly just because she absolutely positively no exceptions needs to be in Pittsburgh on Wednesday…. So the extra day leaves actually driving there as a backup in case the flight falls through.
