    1. For anyone still in doubt of who is in control:

      In order to reopen the U.S. government, Congress must pass (and President Trump must sign) a funding bill, either a full-year budget or a temporary Continuing Resolution.

      The process requires a majority in the House (218 votes) and Senate (51 votes, or 60 to overcome a filibuster), followed by presidential approval.

      **Current Majorities in the U.S. Congress (as of October 27, 2025):**

      The 119th Congress (2025–2027) is controlled by the Republican Party in both chambers, forming a trifecta with the presidency under President Donald Trump.

      |Chamber|Majority Seats|Minority Seats||
      |:-|:-|:-|:-|
      ||
      |**House of Representatives**|Republicans: 219|Democrats: 215||
      |**Senate**|Republicans: 53|Democrats: 45 (43 + 2 independents)||

      In other words:

      !!! THEY ARE LYING TO YOUR FACE AGAIN !!!

      Their blame the Democrats Campaign is getting out hand. It’s literally everything. They blame Democrats for… government.

    3. They blame democrats when they’re in control and when they’re not in control. So democrats are always in control?

    4. He doesn’t understand what being in charge means. He thinks that when you are in charge, you should be allowed to do every single thing you want to do while the other side just sits there and whimpers. This is basically a little kid’s understanding of being in charge.

      Even freaking Ronald Reagan said, ‘a half loaf is better than none’ when accepting accepting a lesser tax cut than he desired

    5. No one controls it until they have a bigger majority than just a couple seats. One side or the other needs to get full control, because there is so compromise anymore. No centrist stuff. No one wants “half a loaf.” Both sides want everything to go exactly their extreme way, and until one or the other takes a supermajority, it will be more of this crap. The days of moderates are over.

      I seem to remember Trump tweeting that the president was responsible for any shutdowns, but that was when he wasn’t president.

      Lol this is so blatantly taken out of context. You’re just being completely dishonest and you know it.

    8. Well, he’s not really lying because donald is in charge of the house, the Senate, and the office.

      Imagine absolutely soaking your integrity and reputation for a lifelong conman and child rapist when you could easily just give it all up and spend your days sucking and fucking boatloads of dudes like you were born to do.

    10. If you’re a Republican voter and you have all 3 branches of government under power but act like you can’t do anything good for anyone, isn’t that the biggest infomercial for why you would never vote for them again?

      Give them as much power as they can handle and they’re as incompetent as anyone still.

      Lmao they have the house senate presidency and the Supreme Court. So that lockdown that they killed Biden for wasn’t his fault then right?

      Fact- Republicans could, at any time, end the shut down without any action by Democrats by invoking a parliamentary change, the so-called nuclear option. The government is shut down because Republicans want it shut down.

    13. > Mr Speaker who controls the House, Senate and White House? I’ll wait.

      And the judiciary.

    14. He’s not wrong.

      Trump is in charge.
      Not Dems, not Repubs.

      Or, to be more accurate, the Heritage Foundation is in charge.

    15. Well, if the Republicans aren’t in charge, then they need to step aside, sit down, and shut up while the people they think are in charge – I imagine this is the Democrats? – do what they should have been doing all along: impeaching and removing the President.

      Why are you standing there, Mike? You aren’t in charge, you yourself say so. So, since you’re not in charge, sit down, shut up, and let the people actually in charge do their work. Or do you have something to say about *that*, Mr. I’m Not In Charge?
