The most famous keyhole in Rome..Through the Aventine Keyhole, you’ll see a perfectly framed view of St. Peter’s Basilica, aligned through the beautiful gardens of the Priory of the Knights of Malta.

    1. Went up there when we were in Rome. It’s interesting, but not worth going just for that. The entire area around is very nice so plan to explore a bit.

    2. The gardens are beautiful – that whole area is beautiful.

Unfortunately lots of people dont see it, because they turn up, queue, take the picture through the keyhole for social media, and then bugger off.

As you walk to the gate you’ll pass the Giardino degli Aranci, spend some time there instead. It even has a nice view of St Peters.

    3. Once upon a time you could just drive there and take a look. Now it’s overcrowded with Insta hunters and idiots spending ages setting up cameras trying to take pictures while the rest tutt and tell them to please hurry up.

Three sovereign countries in one view, St. Peter’s Basilica Vatican City, beautiful gsrdens of the priory knights of Malta, and of course Rome, Italy.

So peeping through keyholes is a thing in Rome!?

      That’s NOT creepy…

      Take note ladies.

    6. it’s fine until you see a crowd of people there waiting for 1h+ for talking Instagram pictures. Reality sucks.
