scottgal2 on October 26, 2025 12:21 pm Small step to ‘if people die because of AI they weren’t real people’. Why do you think the fascism is being pushed by techbros.

Civil-Dinner on October 26, 2025 12:27 pm That’s not how that works. If your job is made obsolete by new technology, it doesn’t mean the job wasn’t real work. Before the alarm clock, there used to be people you could hire that would come by your house and wake you up. That was their job. Before the computer, there were people that were hired specifically to do long and complex math. It was real work. It’s insulting to suggest that the humans who used to build our cars and gadgets by hand before automation and robotics, were not doing real work.
DrMushroomStamp on October 26, 2025 12:40 pm Wish the people that felt this way lost their stupid-ass podcasting/influencing career. Or knew what no inheritance is like.
