    1. The war ending (which at the point might also have been a different feel for the polish people now under red-army occupation) doesn’t mean you throw out perfectly good stationary and retrain personal in spotting invalid tickets.
      The “Deutsche Reichsbahn” (The DR in the corner) was founded 1921, in the West it existed until 1949 before it was rebranded, East germany just kept using the name&Logo the whole time, and the company was only dissolved 1993, so a couple years after the DDR/GDR ceased to exist.
      And having met some people working for DR in ’93, I can assure you that they would have let you go on your merry way on 95′ and probably 2005 when presented with a original DR ticket.
      (Unlucky colleague had an instructor who, on every question about policy, would inviably also explain how they did it “before the counter-revolution”, this would have been 2018 or 19)
