jan 6th should have been the moment in which the republican party was declared a terrorist organization, and Donald should have been arrested for insurrection

Yeah but the democrats won’t do anything because they are basically Hans Blix from Team America.
The best anyone can hope for is an angry letter.

Just as important: we need to have actual robust mechanisms for all the situations where we’ve historically just trusted that public servants would behave ethically.
For example, a binding code of conduct with clear review and enforcement mechanisms for the Supreme Court, requiring only a ‘preponderance of evidence’ standard (i.e. “more likely than not”) for removal, because such an important and high office should be held to the toughest standard.
A SCotUS justice ought to be a person of impeccable character and generally beyond reproach.

This shit is what happens when you don’t punish traitors strongly enough the first time. The southern strategy is just a reframing of the Reconstruction after they couldn’t stop civil rights movements.
