I like to research what happened in the lives of some of the most interesting seeming people in old “Inquiring Photographer” articles. This one was posted on another subreddit yesterday and I really liked Miss Mildred Herr’s answer on why women would want to swap genders. I looked her up and found this article from two years prior. I guess her parents ended up getting their way because I also found subsequent articles referring to her as a “radio star”. Anyway, I thought this was interesting so thought I’d share!

How unfortunate. Even at 18, she had every right to marry him. I wonder if the conservatory would have taken away her scholarship had she continued to be married to him and that is why the parents reacted the way they did.
