When history class meets coping mechanisms:

      1. Germany has repeatedly apologized and taken responsibility for its actions during World War II, especially the Holocaust.

2.Japan has often been criticized for downplaying or denying certain war crimes from WWII (e.g. Nanking Massacre, comfort women, etc.).

3.Serbian nationalist songs that sometimes glorify past wars or aggression (especially during the Yugoslav Wars of the 1990s).

4.Portugal was one of the first colonial empires, having oppressed and exploited many regions (Brazil, parts of Africa, India, etc.).

Modern Portugal is no longer wealthy or powerful, so its colonial past draws less global attention or outrage compared to richer ex-empires (like Britain or France).

There’s a 5th one that’s missing and it should be: Keep Oppressing People To This Day.

I will neither explain nor elaborate which country I’m talking about 😀
