Let’s not forget that dumb dumb cancelled trade talks with Canada because the Ontario PM had ads our stating tariffs are actually BAD. In a temper tantrum, he decided to screw over Americans.

it will take some years but many companies will try to divert their trade away from the US meanwhile the US consumers have to pay way more taxes because of the import tariffs. in the long run this will hurt the US

Good! It’s definitely painful to have to peel away from that convenience, but the US needs to understand that the world can still function without it.
