Republicans seem to know the extent they’ve betrayed the country and the consequences they may face if enough people start paying attention and vote in honest representatives.
They are making their play clear as day. All opposition are “enemies to America”. They will call you an enemy of the people before they ever face the consequences of their actions.
They are telling us that they are going to designate you a terrorist if you have an opposing ideology.
As much as I appreciate Pritzker and Newsome giving some pushback, for a lot of Dems it just feels like they are still treating this like it’s just normal politics.
The gravity of the situation seems to escape them.
Your opponent is using the type of language that makes jailing or worse the next logical step. You don’t call someone a terrorist then have a good faith healthy debate and let an honest election play out. You don’t call someone a terrorist and “the enemy within” and then peacefully step down if you lose.
They’ve framed this in a way that their base is going to support them doing whatever it takes to “save America”.
I think we are all begging any opposition to MAGA currently holding office to act accordingly.
