I kinda laugh to myself when the game hasn’t even come out yet but people complain about it as if they’ve been playing it for weeks. Or when I see a huge bad review on something like Steam and it turns out they only put 1-2 hours in. Doesn’t really matter to me much. I may sometimes average the reviews out a bit and discard any that are bad for dumb reasons, but at the end of the day I make up my own mind. Plenty of games I loved that had bad reviews.

I feel like this meme takes the easy route that wrongfully dismisses ALL complaints of a game when it comes out, regardless of if they have solid ground to sit on or not, but I guess I get the spirit of what you were going for.

Feels like a 50/50. Games prices are going up, and it’s very common for games to have issues at launch these days. So people are starting off on a bad foot.
But also, people love to complain and the internet is an echo chamber. There are YouTube channels whose entire content is leaks/rumours and then complaining about games.

Not the games I play. I had an absolute spectacular year of gaming. Stellar Blade (PC port), KCD2, Monster Hunter Wilds, The First Berserker Khazan, Tainted Grail, AI Limit, Wuchang Fallen Feathers, Trails Through Daybreak, E33 Clair Obscur, Hell Is Us, Silksong.
I’ve been gaming none stop when I’m not at work and all the games I’ve played were certified bangers. You guys should probably stop playing shitty games and stay off social media. Instead you should spend your time playing fun games that you enjoy, like me.
