I didn’t “kick” this dog, but I had my dog out in public one time (crowded area) and someone else dog LUNGED at my good boy, I got between them, the other dogs chest ended up coming in contact with my knee, so I shoved the other dog away using my leg and the owner was pretty pissed. I’m usually a chill person but I had to tell that dumb lady the business that day.

one time i was scrolling through reddit cause bored and saw a news of a dog that mauled a baby to dth, like the owner was cooking and left the dog with there 2 year old and for some reason the dog decided its time.
when the dad or step dad came home he offed the dog with a knife.
all the comments under the video was saying the dad needs to go to jail for animal abuse, ignoring the fact that he dog straight up kllled a kid.
i low key believe that most people are so disconnected from reality that they value a dog life over a human.
also theres a video i watched yesterday, a cop and his dog partner went into a house where the cop was shot and the dog got stabbed before another cop shot the dude. all the comments were just about people being happy the dog made it i didnt even see one about rip for the cop though i didnt scroll far.

This is an especially good meme, because there was a Reddit post last year where a user talked about how they acted as security on the set of a movie where they had an altercation with Tommy Lee-Jones because TLJ’s dog escaped from a trailer and was on the loose. The guy ended up fired because of it. TLJ sounds like an asshole!

I flat out told a guy that if his dog bites me, I’m shooting it.
I was just trying to go to work and this guy’s mutt charges at me. I draw and aim at the ground. I yell, and the dog sputter-stops, and starts barking at me on my own front yard. He started walking the little gremlin with a leash after that.
I can’t afford the medical bills. Fuck people who don’t properly train their pets.

It’s all about how you bring up the dog. Do most people do it perfectly? No, that’s why we have dog attacks every now and again when the perfect storm happens. Train your dog to be sweet and gentle please

I knew a chap once who was a postman. Big gentle lad from Yorkshire. He got pulled into the office one day and his boss asked for an explanation as to why he’d kicked a dog, and he explained that the dog had went for him and it was self defense. Boss said that sounded reasonable enough. The boss called him back in 5 minutes later and said he had phoned the owner and unfortunately he’d have to give him a warning, that the owners beef wasn’t just that he’d kicked the dog, but that he had got his foot under the wee bastard and volleyed it over a fence. 😄

My dog got out and ran across the street toward another dog and its owner. I chased after her, thinking “go ahead and kick her,” lol. The other dog, probably about 100 pounds heavier, didn’t even blink. The owner scooped my dog up and put her in “air jail.” My dog doesn’t bite but is a demon, and I’d be okay with someone using self-defense if needed. You just never know.

As a dog trainer, it’s so disappointing to see so many dog owners put little to no effort into teaching their dogs manners whatsoever. Like they think that just because their dog is friendly, that makes it ok to bear tackle someone.
You teach your kid to have manners and not do things that they aren’t supposed to, it’s the same with dogs. They need to learn boundaries and what is and isn’t acceptable. Correcting your dog isn’t abuse, it’s helping them learn how to properly navigate their life.

A pitbull charged me from a known crack house while I was riding my bike and the owner came running out screaming “just kick him in the head!”
Good times.

Yeah, it’s up to the owner to train their dog not to jump all over strangers. I have 3 dogs myself, 2 are 100 lb Burmese Mountain/Great Pyrenees mix and started right off the bat teaching them not to jump up on people. Some dog owners don’t understand not everyone is dog friendly and when a 100 lb dog jumps up on someone, they can do some damage. Still working on my third dog. He’s a border collie with a massive amount of energy. He’s still a pup so he tend to jump up on strangers, but as soon as I call his name he stops. He’s only 1 so he’s got a lot of learning to do.

My next door neighbors had a rescue fighting bull when I was 10. My dad walked me over just in case. When the dog jumped at me he caught it by the eyes/muzzle and gave it a good shake and threw it at the wall. Dog never bothered me again.
