      Conservative : “NO SPOTLIGHT”

Also conservatives : “PUT THEM IN THE SPOTLIGHT TO SHOW HOW MUCH NOT IN THE SPOTLIGHT THEY ARE”

There’s so much anonymous money floating around for troop deployments and bailing out DOGE dictators in Argentina.

    3. Ahh my favorite part of denying authoritarianism: the taking of bribes and attributing to something else.

Might as well sight there comically with money falling out of his badly tailored suit.

Oh wow, a whole $130 million.. That is enough to pay people at a couple bases. Or give everyone about $100 each. 🤦🏼‍♂️

    5. The monthly payroll for the US military is 16 billion. 130 million isn’t even a drop in the bucket. Its the condensation rolling down the outside. I guarantee that 130 mill doe not end up going to any military funding, but ends up in his pocket.

That doesn’t sound like enough to keep the troops paid. Also, if you are donating to the government, you shouldn’t be allowed to be anonymous

How much of this $130 million is going to pay our troops? I’m guessing somewhere between 0 and none.

***IF*** this actually happened, we still need to know who. and 130 million is NOTHING compared to the DoD payroll of about $300 billion. if anyone is getting paid from this, it’s some corrupt generals.

    9. I remember back in the days when people used to lose their shit at the prospect of shadowy billionaires funnelling dark money into the government.

      Rumours of George Soros etc.

      Guess it’s ok now?

    10. Cool, so he voluntarily wrote a check for a fraction of the taxes that he didn’t pay in recent years 🙄

I would very much like to know which random billionaire our troops are now beholden to.

    12. Before anyone gets too worried there’s a 50% chance he’s making it up. Also I have a feeling that payroll for the military for a month is a bit more than 130 million. US military forces are about 1 million strong, but even if you cut it in half, that’s barely $260 per person.

    13. The US military is not a privately funded organization, that’s extremely illegal and borderline treason to privately fund it. Especially with the rhetoric this dumbass keeps putting out there.

Also, $130mil doesn’t do jack shit to pay anyone.

    14. Yup. Sure thing. Let’s privatize the military. Great idea.

Also, it costs the government ~$7b per pay period to keep the troops paid, so idk what $130m is gonna do.

Each pay period for the U.S. military is roughly $8bn. Roughly $570m per day.

$130m covers payroll for a couple of hours, at most.

Yet another obnoxious, pointless grift. Someone who need a favor from Trump and that Trump can tout as some victory to folks who are ignorant enough to fall for it.

    16. Why is it that billionaires are ok with donating millions of dollars for this or building a ballroom . If they just paid a fair amount of taxes things would work so much smoother!

    17. They could also just pay their fair share every year and we wouldn’t be in this predicament.

Edit: but we all know there is no friend and no one gave $130m.
