In the Chinese social media Zhihu someone made a post about getting a Kodak No.2 and there is a used roll of film thats still intact. Camera is made around 1920s but AI suggested the photos might from the 40s or 50s. Maybe someone could still find the family of the original owner, since they never get to see those photos.

Who’s Al?
Looks like early 60s to me. The woman has a sleeveless dress which I think is post 50s, maybe late 50s.
2/9 looks just like my grandma, but I’ll bet it looks like a lot of people’s grandma’s
Why would you use AI?
It’s not unusual to find a partially used roll of film in an old camera. I had a few that were still loaded and cocked on the first frame. One was mid-roll (unfortunately the seller opened the back to show it off, I never bothered developing it), one was spooled all the way to the end but only had two photos on the roll, both out of focus pictures of a dog in someone’s house.
The mottling on the images is a pretty common issue with any paper-backed film that’s not stored in an airtight wrapper. Moisture causes the paper to stick to the film, damaging the emulsion when you unroll it.
