The little boy in the photo is Marcel Pinte (1938-1944) one of the youngest members of the French Resistance. During the German occupation he delivered secret messages to resistance fighters. He was killed at age 6 by an accidental weapon discharge.

# Born by accidental discharge, died by accidental discharge.
My grandad was 13 when he joined after escaping from a nazi Labour camp. Him and his comrades would pop the heads off nazi bike messengers with ropes around trees and blow up bridges.
Bro probably had more balls at the age of 6 than I have at the age of 16
RIP
Amazing little person. He certainly deserves our graritude for such bravery at an age to be in primary school
the sorry and discouragement They must havE felt after hE did so much for the resistance

Accidental discharge, meaning by his own people? I doubt they‘d call it that if the axis accidentally killed him
