talking orange, fred, NNN, markilplier E, “69 nice”, “bye felicia”, fidget spinners, dabbing, flossing, hentai hoodie, “i beat my meat”.

      Where is the substance?

Bro, we did mindless shit when we were kids too. The kids today aren’t some special version of kids. They’re just kids.

I wont lie at this point i call almost anything i laugh at brainrot because my brain has rotten

    5. You’re going to tell me that Charlie the Unicorn, Salad Fingers, and Weebl’s stuff aren’t brain rot?

I hate to break it to you my guy, but you’re just not a kid anymore. That’s the only thing that’s changed.

This is legitimately a take fueled exclusively by nostalgia-scented farts.

Every generation of people has media that absolutely qualifies as brain rot, in the sense that it exists for no other reason than to entertain. This post acts like that media got beamed down from the Ether and directly into the hands and brains of the younger generations, and that quite literally is not true.

I think the real kicker is to admit that we as human beings actually on purpose create and like absolute garbage. You can search, online, for the kind of stuff people have liked throughout human history and find objectively inane slop throughout time.

Loosen up and let kids be kids. They probably think the stuff you like sucks, too.

Just because you’re too old and won’t accept that you enjoyed the ‘brain rot’ of your time, doesn’t make it any less ‘brain rot’.

Just go to bed already, grandma.

Every generation has a lot of brainrot type memes. The obly reason you don’t think so is because you are looking back at your childhood with rose tinted glasses.

    9. but the silly and goofy stuff from when we were kids was also mindless, substanceless stuff devoid of any purpose, story or trace of a point.

You gonna tell me YTPs of Arthur are high art? Or Crazy Frog is akin to a symphony?
